State Finals are the final progression of School Sport Victoria's inter-school competitions pathway.

SSV's competition pathway is as follows, 

In primary schools there are four (4) competition levels: District, Division, Region and State.

In secondary school, there are three (3) competition levels: Division, Region and State.

Important information for SSV Region finals winners. For all your state finals information, please go directly to the relevant sport and the event in the Event Calendar within this page of the SSV website for all the state venue details, dates and times, rules and draws. NB. Draws are updated on a regular basis as region winners are communicated to the SSV office by Region Coordinators. 

Please remember to fully complete your team sheet and submit it to the convenor on the day on your arrival.

For schools who are travelling more than 100kms to a SSV state quarter-final/semi-final/final/Premier League game, please be aware of the SSV Travel Subsidy policy available on application. 

Sports Tape MUST be supplied by the student/competing team. Strapping for injury prevention as required MUST be performed by the student/competing team. NB. The First Aid Responder attending the state finals are NOT permitted to perform strapping.

Important Information - SSV State Swimming Championships107{8ba673e6-5df2-4c0c-bf92-30ef694098d0}Important Information - SSV State Swimming Championships16/04/2025 4:42:49 AM<div class="ExternalClassFB5519CC6A0A4DC082DFA13EB22D1611"><p>Congratulations on qualifying for the SSV State Swimming Championships.</p><p>See below for important information for <strong>all</strong> persons attending the upcoming SSV State Combined Primary & Secondary Swimming Championships in the Indoor Pool at the Melbourne Sports Aquatic Centre (MSAC), Aughtie Drive, Albert Park – <a href="https://www.ssv.vic.edu.au/state/events/pages/event.aspx?listID=%7ba7bbf073-ab7e-41f6-80f7-8a9f895842de%7d&ListItemID=11">Thursday, April 23</a> - see the date link to go to the event calendar for the rules, program of events & records & for <a href="https://www.ssv.vic.edu.au/state/Pages/StateResults.aspx">Results</a></p><p><strong>Social Distancing & Masks</strong></p><p>Remember it is suggested to have a mask with you in the event that you cannot socially distance 1.5m.</p><p>All entry & exit is via the main entry via Aughtie Drive. </p><p><strong>Doors Open</strong></p><p>The doors will not open until 9:00am. <br></p><p><strong>Cost of entry</strong></p><p>The Entry fee is $5 for adult spectators. Competitors, Children and Teachers (with a V.I.T. card or School ID) will be admitted free. Please note that MSAC is a cashless venue. Please note this event is in the outdoor pool.<br></p><p><strong>Car Parking</strong></p><p>There is metered parking in the Lakeside Car Park and Albert Drive. The costs are approx. $6.00/hour or All Day parking costs $15.00. Alternatively, car parking at MSAC (multi story & southern car parks) is free for the first hour, then approx. $6.00 per hour or part thereof. Please note that information is correct at the time of printing. For more detailed information - <a href="https://melbournesportscentres.com.au/venues/">Plan Your Visit - Melbourne Sports Centres – Venues</a></p><p><strong>Bus Parking</strong></p><p><strong>Buses must not drop off or park at any entrances to MSAC</strong>. This can cause severe congestion and therefore become a safety issue when vehicles cannot get in or out of the car parks and other surrounding areas. Please see the <a href="https://www.ssv.vic.edu.au/state/Documents/MSAC%20Access%20Parking%20Information%20Car%20Bus.pdf" target="_blank">MSAC Access & Parking Information - Car & Bus </a>outlining where the buses may drop off and park, as well as a safe pathway for students to walk to the entrances. There are two drop off points, where buses may also park.</p><p><strong>Bus Drop off AND Bus Parking – Canterbury Road</strong></p><p><strong>Bus Drop off AND Bus Parking – Aughtie Drive</strong></p><p><b>Please note that the MSAC roundabout at the main entry is a designated 2-minute pick up/drop off zone only - NO BUS ACCESS. </b></p><p>Please ensure this is communicated to your bus drivers.</p><p>If a bus does not use the allocated drop off points and parking areas, the school will then be charged a bus parking fee by Melbourne Sports Centres.</p><p><strong>Warm Up Time</strong></p><p>Competitors will only have access to the competition pool from 9:15am until 10:00am to warm up.</p><p>SSV will have six (6) lanes in the indoor pool/diving pool available for warming up and cooling down <span style="text-decoration:underline;">only during competition</span>. </p><p><strong>Marshalling</strong></p><p>Marshalling for all swimmers will be via the marshal room. Swimmers will access the marshal room by exiting the grandstand down to the ground floor & proceed to the marshal room. Report to the Marshals. Once marshalled, swimmers will sit in rows of seating & then be escorted out to sit behind the lanes the swimmers are racing in. Swimmers only in the marshal area. All other spectators must remain in the grandstand. Listen out for announcements and check the big screen throughout the day - 'scrolling LED text that will say "marshalling up to Event 23" etc. Only competitors are allowed in the marshal area with the exception of Multi Class swimmers aides.</p><p><a href="https://www.ssv.vic.edu.au/state/Documents/RulesSwimmingProgramandRecords.pdf">Swimming Program and Records - Event Nos. & indicative start times by stroke</a></p><p><strong>Merchandise</strong></p><p>DMC merchandise will be available for sale on the upper level – see <a href="https://www.ssvshop.com/collections/state-championships">SSV (ssvshop.com)</a></p><p><strong>Official Photographers</strong></p><p>SportsTrend Photo will be taking photos see <a href="https://sportstrendphoto.photodeck.com/">https://sportstrendphoto.photodeck.com/</a></p><p>NB.
