Australian Football State Championships are conducted by School Sport Victoria and are played at both Primary and Secondary school levels.
Age Groups: Primary Girls; Primary Boys/Mixed; Year 7 Boys/Mixed; Year 8 Boys/Mixed; Junior Girls (Years 7 -8); Intermediate Boys (Years 9-10); Intermediate Girls (Years 9-10); Senior Boys (Years 11-12 and Premier League); Senior Girls (Years 11-12 and Premier League).
All State events are listed prior to the date of the event in the Event Calendar located on the right hand side panel. Each event will contain the venue, convenor, rules, information, draws/schedule & results. Results can be accessed post event by using the
State Results link or by going to the State Event Calendar Section & selecting the date of the event.

Equipment for Primary Australian Football
AFL Victoria is providing the following equipment to the SSV community including:
*SSV Districts receive 1 goal post set
*SSV Divisions receive 4 kits
*SSV Regions receive 4 kits
*SSV State receives 4 kits
The equipment will be distributed in the coming weeks with the goal post set (including a bag) and the kits consisting of the 2 * size 3 footballs, 1 goal post set (including bag), and cones.

Lesson Plans for Primary Australian Football
In this short four-week unit, the students will work on developing their fundamental football motor skills necessary to play Australian Football.
The lessons focus on learning through play and students are encouraged to have fun whilst developing key skills in football as well as developing an understanding of the
rules.
