Rugby Victoria works closely with their National body, Rugby Australia to offer the Sporting Schools program to children of both primary school and secondary school age. Along with offering sessions for schools that don't receive funding and wish to still run programs.
These programs Include:
- Get into Rugby (Primary School)
- Touch 7s (Primary and Secondary School)
- School 7s (Secondary School)
- Gala Days
Primary
The National Rugby Primary School program GET INTO RUGBY is a non-contact format of the game designed to introduce primary school students to rugby.
This program introduces participants to the skills and core values required to play traditional rugby and 7s.
There is a great mix of classroom and field based sessions that run over several weeks.

SecondaryThe Rugby Victoria schools program is a modified non-contact version of the 7s rugby game targeted at schools in different zones throughout Victoria.
Rugby Victoria also offers a series of Rugby 7s (contact & non-contact) Gala Days, where players can showcase their skills in a fun and competitive space.
