School Sport Victoria is pleased to announce a new partnership with Football Victoria through until the end of 2026.
Dan Birrell, Interim CEO, Football Victoria said: “Football Victoria is thrilled to continue our longstanding partnership with School Sport Victoria, a relationship that has provided countless young students with the opportunity to experience the beautiful game. This renewed partnership allows us to further grow the sport, engaging more students across the state and we can't wait to see the next wave of talent emerge from schools across the state.”
In 2024 there were 60,241 student participation engagements in Football (soccer) which was the 6th most participation engagements of any SSV interschool sport competition. Additionally, 864 Victorian students trialled for the State Representative Team Vic football teams with two bronze medals secured across the four teams at the School Sport Australia Championships in 2024.
