School Sport Victoria has partnered with Reclink Australia to provide a free SSV School Games incursion at your school as part of SSV Play in Term 2 2023.
What is SSV School Games?
Do your students love downball? Well, they are going to love Roundnet!
SSV School Games gives your students the chance to experience a new twist on the school yard games they know and love.
Sessions are designed to be fun and have a social, non-competitive focus. The activities will be tailored for primary and secondary students and will be inclusive of students from all backgrounds, genders, and abilities.
SSV School Games will be delivered as a one-day incursion for 100 students. This includes four one-hour sessions, with 25 students able to participate in each session.
This year, schools will be able to choose from three different SSV School Games activities including Roundet, Targetball and Kickball which will be delivered by trained Reclink coordinators.
How many students can participate?
If you are a smaller school and do not have 100 students, please consider if you can partner with another nearby school to meet this requirement. Alternatively, you can apply for Diversity Dash where no minimum student limits apply.
If you have more than 100 students, consider selecting specific classes within your school that might benefit most and fit the 100-student maximum.
At the end of school incursion Reclink staff will provide teachers with 'take home activities' for each of the activities completed. These will be a great resource for teachers to support students to continue SSV School Games activities in the school yard during recess, lunchtime or at home with family and friends.
When can we participate in SSV School Games?
SSV School Games will only be delivered in Term 2 in 2023. All dates requested in EOI forms must fall in Term 2, 2023.
Where is SSV School Games delivered?
SSV School Games will be delivered at your school in your school gym, schoolyard, or any other space that works.
