28/04/2025

School Sport Victoria is pleased to announce new partnerships with AusCycling, Badminton Victoria, Baseball Victoria, Lacrosse Victoria, Netball Victoria, Table Tennis Victoria, Triathlon Australia (Vic), and Ultimate Victoria. These partnerships are important in supporting the range of school sport opportunities provided across these sports whilst consolidating the importance of school sport for SSV's partners.

Phillip Leslie, State Operations Manager Victoria, AusCycling said:“AusCycling is proud of our ongoing partnership with School Sport Victoria, and we look forward to continuing our highly successful Victorian Schools Series for both Road and mountain bike, supported by our fantastic club network and broader cycling community across the state.”

Clint Proctor, CEO, Badminton Victoria said: “Badminton Victoria is proud to continue our partnership with School Sport Victoria, creating more opportunities for students to experience the energy and excitement of our sport. Over the next two years, we look forward to growing participation across schools and inspiring the next generation of athletes through inclusive, engaging badminton experiences.”

Chet Gray, CEO, Baseball Victoria said: “We are excited to continue our partnership with School Sport Victoria after going from strength to strength with Interschool Sport and Team Vic over the past few years. We look forward to building on this strong foundation and continuing to offer fantastic opportunities for student growth and development through SSV’s school baseball programs. We saw a 4% increase in SSV baseball competition participation last year, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds as more students discover their love of the game.”

Michael Sholly, General Manager, Lacrosse Victoria said: "Lacrosse Victoria values the partnership with School Sport Victoria (SSV) as they provide a key element in growing the game.  SSV provides the opportunity for students across Victoria to play lacrosse matches against other schools at the primary and secondary level, and for many it is the first steps in a lifelong journey in the sport.  We look forward to continuing this relationship and developing the game with SSV."

Sarah Rush, General Manager Stakeholder Relations, Netball Victoria said: “Netball Victoria is thrilled to renew its partnership with School Sport Victoria.  Our two organisations work collaboratively to deliver netball to students across the state and provide athletes the opportunity to proudly represent their school and State in School Championships.  Schools are a critical part of Netball Victoria’s ecosystem and through SSV’s network in 2024 more than 61,000 students experienced the fun and fierce competition of netball.”

Gen Dohrmann, CEO, Table Tennis Victoria said: "It's fantastic to see table tennis growing as part of the School Sport Victoria secondary school’s competition. We know that our sport offers an excellent opportunity to get multicultural Victorians involved in the table tennis within a school setting so are pleased to continue to partner with SSV."

Murray Newham, Head of Triathlon, Australia (Vic) said: “We are pleased to again affiliate with School Sport Victoria, and our partnership continues to thrive. We are fortunate to support the competitive opportunities for our athletes in the Team Vic program in Triathlon and Aquathlon and look forward to expanding our programs even further in the education industry. Our organisation values are aligned, which is evident through the inclusion opportunities for multiclass athletes.”

Simon Talbot, General Manager, Ultimate Victoria said: "We're enthusiastic about a further three years of partnering with School Sport Victoria to offer the choice of our sport to students across the state. Each year more and more schools are adding Ultimate to their PE curriculum, and we enjoy having the opportunity to instil a love for the sport through gala day events. Our partnership with SSV has also seen a number of teachers take advantage of our free and easy upskilling opportunities and resources to date, so we hope that more teachers and coordinators can discover our sport and the benefits it brings to their students over the coming years."
