​In the first episode of 2022 we caught up with Genevieve Beacom. Gen came through the Team Vic Softball Pathway in 2015 and 2016.

In 2016 she got to play in the Championship as her brother Sam, the Pacific School Games held in Werribee.

A summary of some of Genevieve's achievements to date:

  • Softball - SSV rep 2015 & 2016
  • Little League  Victorian Southern Mariners representative 2015-2021, U12-U18, including 2016- 2021 State Champions
  • 2017 toured Japan with Victorian Youth women's team
  • 2017 U13 Australian representative at the Cal Ripken Major 70 - Babe Ruth League Branson MO USA
  • 2018 MLB Showcase - Lismore NSW
  • 2018 Youth women's National Champions - 17 Strikeouts in the Gold medal Game - @ Geelong against NSW
  • 2019 U16 Victorian State Rep @ Nationals - Sydney Jan
  • 2020  U16 Victorian State Rep @ Nationals - Geelong Jan
  • 2021 First women to pitch in Div 1 Victorian State summer baseball competition Newport
  • 2021 U18 Senior League National Champions - Lismore NSW, came into pitch the final innings to close the game down and secure the win,
  • 2022 Signed as a development player to the Melbourne Aces


A summary of some of Sam's achievements to date:

  • Sam came through the Team Vic Baseball Pathway three times. 2013,14 and Captained the side in 2015.
  • Sam then also went on to compete overseas, firstly in a Summerball team in Washington state organized by his SSV Coach Peter Giles.
  • From this he was offered a scholarship to play Baseball at Lower Columbia Community College in Longview, Washington State. He Graduated from LCC as a Male student-athlete of the year in 2018. 
  • During his time at LCC his team won 2 Championships in the NWAC (North West Athletic Conference). He was then offered a scholarship to a Div 1 College, Charleston Southern University in South Carolina. He graduated with Honors in 2021 and played ball for three years at the college.
